Department of Tourism is an organization under the supervision of The Ministry of Tourism and Sports. The department has the authority relating to promoting and developing tourism, recreation industries, and other government services as prescribed by the law.
Our missions :
– Promoting, conserving, restoring and developing tourism attractions and quality of environment for sustainability. – Developing and enhancing the standard of tourism products, services and human resources. – Promoting, developing and regulating tour business, tour guide and tour leader in compliance with laws. – Accommodating, preventing and providing safety in tourism. – Promoting participation and supporting tourism activities for all stakeholders to achieve sustainable tourism. – Promoting and supporting foreign film production in Thailand. Seventh, developing information and communication technology systems and distributing relevant statistical data of tourism and knowledge for planning and managerial purposes. – Developing a tourism cooperation with stakeholders, both locally and internationally.
Department of Tourism’s activities :
The Department of Tourism ‘s activities mainly focus on regulating tourism industry and managing tourism infrastructure which covers on 5 important areas namely: Tourist Attraction Development, Tourism Service Development, Tourism Business and Guide Registration, Tourism Professional Development, and International Film Production shooting in Thailand.
