The Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO), Ministry of Energy, is the key organization in creating and recommending energy policies and plans to ensure security and sustainability of Thailand, as well as recommending measures for the energy price management to ensure fairness and to reflect the real costs, strategies for the promotion of energy conservation and renewable energy by focusing on the use of domestic resources for energy security and guidelines for enhancing the country’s competitiveness with sustainability.
EPPO’s activities
– Recommend energy policies and plans to the National Energy Policy Council.
– Recommend national strategies for energy conservation and alternative/renewable energy promotion
– Coordinate, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the country’s policies, management plans and measures.
