The Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) , Ministry of Transport, was established pursuant to the Government Agencies Restructuring Act of B.E. 2545 (2002) and the Reassignment of Administration Duties, Powers and Authorities of Government Agencies Restructuring Act of B.E. 2545 (2002) Royal Decree of B.E. 2545 (2002). These laws authorized the merging of the following three government agencies: The office of the Commission for the Management of Land Traffic under the Office of the Prime Minister, Constituents of the office of the maritime Promotion Commission, the latter two offices coming under the former Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Organization’s activities :
Constructing a policy framework for national transport and traffic policy, planning, measuring, and standard development. This involves conducting studies, research, and developing technology and innovations for convenient, rapid, safe, and environmentally friendly transport. Additionally, the organization focuses on developing, establishing, and disseminating data, information, and knowledge management in transport and traffic. It also establishes systems for coordination, monitoring, and evaluating plans, projects, measures, and standards efficiently.
